What an energy audit gives you

An energy audit measures how much energy each system uses, compares it with what that system should use, and turns the gap into a list of costed measures. You get a clear order of work, starting with the quick wins.

A walk-through audit is a short site study that flags the obvious losses. A detailed audit adds logged measurements over a representative period and builds a full energy balance for the site.

What we measure

  • HVAC and chillers. Specific power in kW per ton of refrigeration, temperatures, controls and air distribution.
  • Compressed air. Leaks, pressure settings and compressor loading.
  • Pumps, fans and motors. Efficiency, throttling losses and variable-speed potential.
  • Lighting. Lux levels, lighting power and controls.
  • Electrical supply. Power factor, harmonics, transformer loading and maximum demand.
  • Renewables. Rooftop solar potential and the best way to buy clean power.

How an audit runs

Questions clients ask

How much can an energy audit save?

It depends on the age and condition of the site. Audits usually find no-cost and low-cost measures, such as fixing leaks and resetting controls, alongside larger projects with longer payback. The report gives you the numbers for your site, not an average.

How long does a detailed audit take?

Site work typically takes a few days to a few weeks, depending on how many systems need logging. The report follows the analysis.

Is my facility required to do an energy audit?

Facilities notified as designated consumers under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 have mandatory audit obligations. If you are unsure whether that applies to you, ask us and we will check.
