What LEED is
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the U.S. Green Building Council's rating system, with certification issued through Green Business Certification Inc. It is the rating most often named by multinational occupiers, global supply-chain audits and international investors.
Projects earn points across integrative process, location, sites, water, energy, materials, indoor quality and innovation. The total sets the level:
| Level | Points needed |
|---|---|
| Certified | 40 to 49 |
| Silver | 50 to 59 |
| Gold | 60 to 79 |
| Platinum | 80 and above |
What we do on your project
- Scorecard. A point-by-point target with the cost and effort of each credit.
- Energy modelling. Whole-building simulation against an ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G baseline for the energy credits.
- Commissioning coordination. Owner requirements, basis of design and commissioning scope set up early.
- Material and product data. Environmental product declarations, recycled content and low-emitting materials collected from suppliers.
- LEED Online. Forms, uploads and review responses through to the award.
How the certification runs

Questions clients ask
Why choose LEED over an Indian rating?
Choose LEED when your tenant, buyer or investor asks for it by name, which is common with multinational companies and export supply chains. For domestic recognition and incentives, an Indian rating may be the better fit. Some projects take both.
Is energy modelling required for LEED?
To earn more than a few energy points, yes. The energy credits compare your design with an ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G baseline building, and the improvement sets the points.
Can an existing building get LEED certified?
Yes. LEED for Operations and Maintenance rates buildings on their actual energy, water, waste, transport and indoor performance.
